From the UAE to the World
UOF Founded — WhatsApp Community
The United Optometrist Forum began as a small WhatsApp community of eye care professionals in the UAE, laying the foundation for what would become a global movement.
Optoverse 1 — First Online Conference
UOF hosted its first Optoverse optometry conference entirely online, connecting eye care professionals across borders for the very first time.
EyeQon Webinar Series Launched
The EyeQon webinar series was introduced, delivering CPD-accredited online education and clinical updates to optometrists across the region.
OptoKayak Newsletter Launched
The OptoKayak Quarterly Newsletter was launched, keeping the UOF community informed with the latest in optometry news, research, and member updates.
Optoverse 4 — First Onsite Event & SPECTRA AI
UOF brought Optoverse to life in person with its first onsite event, Optoverse 4. SPECTRA AI was also introduced — an intelligent clinical assistant for optometrists.
WCO Affiliate Member
UOF became an official affiliate member of the World Council of Optometry (WCO), marking a major milestone in global recognition and professional standing.
UOF Global Launched — 5 Zones
UOF officially launched as UOF Global, establishing five international zones: Middle East, Africa, Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe — a truly worldwide forum.
Optoverse 7 — Coming Soon
The next landmark Optoverse conference is set for 2027, promising to be the biggest and most impactful gathering of eye care professionals in UOF history.
