By accessing or using the UOF website at uof.world, registering for membership, or participating in any UOF event or programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These Terms apply to all visitors, members, and other users of the site.

United Optometrist Forum (UOF) is a registered professional forum incorporated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Registration No. SC 242014401). UOF connects optometrists and eye care professionals globally through education, events, and networking. Our registered address is PO Box 117397, Dubai, UAE.

Membership is open to qualified optometrists, optometry students, and allied eye care professionals who meet UOF's membership criteria. By applying for membership you confirm that:

• The information you provide is accurate and complete.
• You hold the professional qualifications you declare.
• You will maintain the professional standards expected of UOF members.
• You are at least 18 years of age.

UOF reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate membership at its discretion, including for conduct that is inconsistent with the professional values of the forum.

When you create a member account, you are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

UOF will not be liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to keep your credentials secure.

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of UAE law.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your professional credentials.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or unsolicited commercial communications.
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the site without written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the security or availability of the site.
• Post content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or offensive to any individual or group.
• Use UOF's name, logo, or branding without prior written consent.

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, certificates, and software — is the property of UOF or its licensors and is protected by UAE and international intellectual property laws. You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission. Member certificates issued by UOF are for personal professional use only and may not be altered or misrepresented.

Registration for UOF events (conferences, webinars, CME programmes) is subject to the specific terms communicated at the time of registration, including any applicable fees, cancellation policies, and CPD/CME credit conditions. By registering you confirm that:

• You meet any stated eligibility requirements for the event.
• You will attend in a professional capacity.
• You consent to photography and video recording at in-person events for UOF promotional use, unless you notify us otherwise in advance.

Membership fees and event registration fees are stated in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless otherwise specified. Payments are processed through our designated payment provider. All fees are non-refundable unless UOF cancels the event or service, in which case a full refund will be issued within 14 business days. For membership fee queries, contact [email protected].

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute amicably before initiating formal proceedings.

UOF reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the date of the latest revision. For material changes, we will notify members by email. Continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
